A dependable and effective tool for managing huge PST files in Microsoft Outlook is the vMail PST splitter and merger software. It is simpler to manage and keep PST files when they are divided into smaller chunks using the software based on different factors including date, size, and email folder. This enhances Outlook performance and lowers the chance of PST file corruption. The software also makes it simple to handle your mailbox data centrally by enabling you to combine several PST files into a single PST file. For anyone who wishes to handle their PST files properly, vMail PST splitter and merger software is a need due to its user-friendly interface.

To split a large PST (Outlook data file) into smaller PST files, you can use the built-in features of Microsoft Outlook. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to split a PST file:

Open Outlook: Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer.

Create a New PST File: To split the existing PST file, you'll need to create a new PST file to which you can move a portion of the data.

Go to the "File" tab in Outlook.
Select "New" and then choose "Outlook Data File."
Choose the PST file format and click "OK."
Specify the location and name for the new PST file, and click "OK."
Move Items to the New PST File:

In Outlook, go to the folder that contains the items you want to move to the new PST file.
Select the items (emails, contacts, calendar items, etc.) you want to move. You can use Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple items.
Right-click on the selected items and choose "Move" or "Copy" (depending on your preference).
Select "Copy to Folder" or "Copy to" from the options.
In the "Copy Items" dialog box, choose the newly created PST file as the destination folder and click "OK."
Repeat the Process: Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create multiple new PST files and move different sets of items into each file until you have split the desired data across multiple PST files.

Close the PST Files: Once you have moved the items to the new PST files, you can close the original PST file and the newly created PST files if you no longer need them open in Outlook.

Greetings,
Peter
