Website layout thread

I’ve been messing around with my site’s layout, and honestly, I didn’t think too much about the header until now. Feels like it’s just floating there with no real purpose. I know it’s important for UX and branding, but I’m not sure what I should actually put in it or how to design it so it feels intentional. Any solid resources or tips?
