How Chess is consider to be a sport?

Most people think that sport is something that includes physical effort and done for any pleasure. Where as chess does have any much physical activity which is why some people confuse about is chess a sport or not. But, it is actually a sport, sport is not only about physical effort it also is mental effort and chess requires both mental effort and skill to play.
