RC3 security doors are the next step up, designed for buildings at greater risk of forced entry—whether it's a luxury home, commercial warehouse, or sensitive office. Certified according to EN 1627,
RC3 doors are tested to resist more advanced intrusion attempts. Unlike RC2, which assumes an unskilled
burglar using basic hand tools, RC3 is built to withstand attacks from more experienced criminals using crowbars, heavy screwdrivers, and other more powerful hand tools.
What Makes RC3 Different?
To pass EN 1630 manual attack tests at RC3 level, a door must resist:
- a 5-minute effective attack time With advanced tools, including a 710 mm crowbar, steel punches, chisels, and hammers. The attacker in this test scenario is assumed to have knowledge of weak points—like lock zones and hinge sides—and applies strategic force accordingly. RC3 doors must remain intact, with no opening large enough (400 × 250 mm) to allow entry.

Where RC3 doors make sense?
RC3 doors are ideal for: Villas and high-end homes, isolated buildings or properties with delayed police response, server rooms or storage areas with sensitive assets,
Small commercial
buildings in
high-crime areas.
They combine elevated protection with the aesthetic flexibility expected in modern architecture.
