Hi friends, I am a little confused. I am going to Dubai very soon and want to visit there too. Especially Dubai Desert, but there is a question, what is the difference between red dune safari and desert safari?

Welcome to the King of Desert, UAE. I have been there during my last year's trip in September month and the price was damn low due to fewer tourists. When you are going there, then do try these tours, evening or morning desert safari in Dubai (because during this time climate will be cooler), red dune desert safari, dolphin show (a must for kids and family), Al Ain and Burj Khalifa. If you are a dessert lover, then an overnight safari will be good. Enjoy the tour.

You are welcome there is really no difference. Red dune safari is the oldest and the original desert safari in Dubai that served even before the 1980s when red dune tours supplied jeeps for desert safari trails which were very exciting at that time, so those days safety measures were very limited inside a jeep. Some people hated it but the fun was the challenging part was just crazy. Nowadays all companies have to follow the rules, safety regulations (surroundings) and your safety measures you take while desert safari is extremely better than what it used to be a few years back, now time changed most of these have a proper and good road like resorts with each luxury tents/classrooms and dining area inside camps organized by all famous tour operators offering desert safari tours in UAE. I have been around almost Greater UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah).

Terrain: Red dune safaris typically take you to areas with reddish-orange sand dunes, known for their vibrant color, while desert safaris may cover a wider range of desert landscapes, including different types of dunes and desert features.
Activities: Both types of safaris usually include activities like dune bashing (off-road driving over sand dunes), camel riding, sandboarding, and experiencing traditional Bedouin camps. However, the specific activities offered may vary slightly between red dune safaris and desert safaris. Duration: Red dune safaris and desert safaris can vary in duration. Some may be half-day experiences, while others may be full-day or overnight trips, providing opportunities for stargazing and sleeping under the desert sky. Cultural Experience: Both types of safaris often offer cultural experiences such as henna painting, traditional Arabic entertainment like belly dancing and Tanoura shows, and the chance to enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner in a desert camp setting. Overall, both red dune safaris and desert safaris promise unforgettable adventures in the stunning Dubai desert. Your choice may depend on factors such as the specific activities you're interested in, the duration of the safari, and whether you prefer the distinct aesthetic of red sand dunes. It's a good idea to research and compare different tour operators to find the experience that best suits your preferences.
